Hi I have a directory which already lists sites which accept or use any kind of Crypto currencys. There are allready a few which have been listed who accept feathercoins as well as other coins. It would be nice to see more sites accepting Feathercoins and if I come accross any I email them with the offer of a free listing. Hopefully overtime we will see a lot more sites which accept feathercoins.
i think some new graphics / icons etc in the next client update would be good. i had another coin wallet open at the same time as feathercoin wallet, both icons in the tray next to each other, and the feathercoin one looked bad. really bad compared.
so thanks to whoever is doing them, it is much appreciated.
The best way to go about doing this would likely to come up with the basis for a good wikipedia article, have it pinned and invite it to be translated.
Of course just about anybody could feasibly edit it after that and change it around to say what they want it to say, but, it would allow for you guys to get FTC open to more languages without having to worry about somebody volunteering for the job who may or may not be a particularly apt writer.
. . .Just a thought.

Sure, for now. But how long until things are priced in Satoshis? And why will that happen? Because as adoption increases, the spend-ability increases, to the point where it actually stops making sense to price things in fiat at all.
You are the early adopters, and you are setting the trend for the movement to come. The sooner you start doing it, the sooner it makes sense for other people to do it too.
I get it now. Why am I trying to tie things to fiat when I’m trying to get away from fiat.
Because I’m still buying things in fiat to sell for crypto. If I bought them in crypto, it’d be easier to go “okay, I bought X for 40 FTC, sell it for 55 FTC, no matter what the fiat price is”. I’m not saying we need to take baby steps to get there, I’m just saying that maybe an intermediary step is necessary, and that’s where the market place is important.
A possibility to have a filter on forums one is interested in also would help t osort the mass of information passed through the forums.
And Kevlar you are absolutely right, the avtivity here is rocketing
In fact, hells no. You can have simple buttons that lead to functions through another service.
Absolutely. Let 3rd parties handle it; we don’t want another eBay/Paypal situation on our hands.
+1 to this. There’s already a protocol handler in place which people can do basic implementations against using existing anchor tags. If further integration is required, a third-party payment processor is the correct way to go. Not to mention PHP has no business being used in an accounting role. Wordpress is fine for content management, but not much else.
You would have to get someone who likes crypto already who knows how to make games and would be willing to help out an alt like ours. The fact that the currency was independent of the maker themselves would actually be a competitive feature over the other players on the market so I could see this working.
That’s great news. An online wallet that allows you to buy with a bank account is way easier to get ftc/usd, it would be even better if you can deposit usd with money order as well.
I had the same idea before .â€FTC = Free Trading Coin“ is good idea .

May be, that I’m a a bit old fashioned, but I prefer my wallet to be a wallet and nothing more.
If all other functions you mention could be programmed into another program, the result could be an advantage for the heavy users.
A multi coin wallet would be nice, but there are some drawbacks, like
extended syncronisation time at startup, as many block chains need to be loaded
disc space required, as you need to store many block chains locally
I’d opt for a wallet handling a max of 3 coins to mitigate the above problems
Also it could become a nightmare to maintain the wallet code, as you’ll have to be up to date for different sw tracks, that also may generate conflicts, when simplemented in the same piece of code
Very interesting. Thanks a bunch. it’s just too common a feature to not have What’s interesting is I looked over at simple machine and they mentioned it was about the look and or layout for a particular theme. For me it just didn’t happen to be exactly where I looked. Cheers.

Oh, that reminded me, I remembered seeing this:
http://selfstarter.us/
The basis of what’s provided is “one person, one project at a time”, but perhaps someone could take it to the next level where people could generate those pages/projects through user accounts.
It’s at least a foundation to branch off of while still holding control instead of a 3rd party handling it.
So if I understand you right you are going even more meta than Lockitron by saying that we should give people user accounts that let them set up pages like that?
Would love to get you involved in the Kickstart project:
