who would have though that the temperature outside would climb to
25degres as soon as i moved the rig…

Perhaps you need to strap some desk fans on to your rack. I’ve had to do this to my 7950s as they were hitting 100C and throttling down. I am managing to squeeze 625KH/s out of them which has impressed me. I’ve spent a lot of time fighting with 7970s in the past and have found the 7950s much easier to work with. I have 1800KH/s running total and have a some more kit in the post to allow me to run an old 5870 and a 6850 I now have spare.

Allready have 2 fans at the bottom angled from where theres a hole for fresh air to be sucked in.
I also have a 410mm fan in front of the rack for getting the heat away from the rack and towards the door (have an airgap both in top and bottom of the door).
However as of now its allmost 40degrees in there.

Cant wait for the night to come so i can get the temp down, this has to be fixed, i want to mine 24/7!
Theres also support to be 6 extra cards in a second rack there, but before that i need to solve the heat issue. theres 2x120mm behind the 69xx rig also, but still 2 of the 6970 overheats, one of them reached 101 degres.

Will go to the store at tuesday (holiday closed), also awaiting 4x 230mm computer fans which i will mount one in each section.
