Feathercoin? Difficult to Trade?!

  • @wrapper in fact, with this very inconvenient strategy it makes feathercoin look less appealing. because of the inability to trade. at this point it makes it a HODL scenario, which is fine. And I’m totally ok with that. what I don’t like is when new people ask me what feathercoin is, they ask me if feathercoin can be transacted into USD. And my answer is always, not yet because I can’t join an exchange that does transact feathercoin. and then, they get turned off of feathercoin because “they” don’t see the “possible profit” in USD. unfortunately anything in the US, if its not tangible no one likes it, and is afraid of it. I wish I could prove otherwise.

  • Well, more exchanges=wider awerness and everything good that comes with it.
The only issue i see is avoiding the shady exchanges.

I didnt realize bittrex halted people from joining. that seems really really strange. that’s how they make money (getting people to hop on and trade.) have they given a reason why?

BInance Exchange is also stop New Users to register… ummm

  • Its better to stop new registrations, already they are getting 10s of thousands of support tickets every week. Imagine what would happen if they let more users in.
This way, they will have time to scale their support, as well as provide better support.

Devs, what is your opinion about listing ftc on the newer exchanges that are popping up?
(the ones not looking like a complete scam of course)

Well, getting a coin listed on an exchange is a relatively straight forward process, what doesn’t mean that it’s a fast process.

Typically the way to go is to send tickets to the exchange’s owner/operator and request the listing of a coin. If many requests for a coin are coming in, the exchange owners see the demand and a chance of a good trading volume and then they list the coin.

So Gentlemen, select one or more exchanges and if all of you request Feathercoin to be listed, there is a chance you’ll get the owners convinced.

It’s an easy way to support Feathercoin, and no coding knowledge is needed ;)

getting an active user base to move from bittrex will be hard. i recently sold some for the first time in ages and i put the same order to sell up on bittrex as i did with cryptopia. bittrex filled (and it was 19 times bigger) cryptopia didnt =/ . but not taking on new people is… well rough. sounds like someone needs to make a new exchange that is as dummy proof as they can make it. and make it appealing enough to get people to leave their current exchange (oh and carry feathercoin)

  • @wellenreiter
i will happily devote some time for this

  • Done, posted to all exchanges i have an account with :)

  • @moonman wonderful! me too!

Cryptopia not accepting new users? I signed up two days ago and seems to be fine. I even listed an item on their marketplace just to see how it worked. Of course no sale yet, but I can safely say I am a new user within the time period that they’re apparently closed to new users.

If any one wants to try Cryptopia heres my referral : https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Register?referrer=FTCHodler

  • If you have a look at the markets tab @ coinmarketcap you can see where the most volume is being traded from in the past 24 hours.

When I checked, Bittrex did 70% of the trade volume, with Upbit (Korean - so may be killed off depending on what the government decides to do??) in second at 20%…
