    • RE: Who is buying?

I agree with the update for the Feathercoin page. Especially the features like NeoScrypt and maybe much more? that is a differentiation to other coins would be really important to mention. I’m honest - I lost track about the changes in Feathercoin.

      I would volunteer to contribute!

    • Updated list of FTC Exchanges

      List ordered by volume (assumed)

      • Bittrex.com - FTC/BTC
      • AnyCoinDirect - FTC/EUR/USD
      • LiteBit.eu - FTC/EUR
      • BTER- BTC/FTC
      • CoinGather - BTC/FTC
      • Cryptopia - BTC/FTC

Some comments on the mentioned platforms:
      Bittrex.com
Daily volume around 1-3 BTC. Fast and reliable exchanges with visible order book and old market feeling like good old BitCoin trading exchanges. You can feel the adrenaline when building and selling walls are hunting each other and wales play their games ;-)

      AnyCoinDirect
Solid exchanges with amazing support. Had several transactions via AnyCoin and it was reliable. Registration full stack is possible within a day. Afterwards you can trade EUR to FTC. BUT - it’s 10-30% more expensive than going the slower way via BTC to FTC exchange. And their is no trading feeling connected as you have no order book.

      LiteBit.eu
Like AnyCoinDirect. But with at least for FTC better price conditions (2-8% below AnyCoin). BUT: Price between buying and e.g. bank transfer varies. For instant payments fees are (at least in my opinion to high).

      PriceWatcher and notifications are possible.

      BTER
Really low volume. I made some bad experience on the past when some coins (not FTC) got lost. Since then I was not longer using it.

These platforms seem to not longer work with FTC…

      • ShapeShift.io - FTC/BTC - FTC seems not longer be traded there
      • BTC-e - FTC/BTC - !! Delisted 1st Feb 2015. PLEASE WITHDRAW YOUR COINS !! – and was the previous killer for FTC price
      • Cryptsy - FTC/BTC - seems to be closed
      • CoinMKT - FTC/BTC FTC/USD - seems to be closed
      • CoinSpot - FTC/AUD – FTC is not longer listed?
      • Cryptonit - FTC/BTC LTC/FTC EUR/FTC USD/FTC - FTC not longer listed
      • Coins-E - FTC/BTC - Dead
      • Vircurex - FTC/BTC - No Volume since months
      • Comkort - FTC/BTC, FTC/DOGE/ FTC/LTC - dead?
      • Coinnector - FTC not listed
      • e-CoinTrade - dead?
      • Cryptoczar - dead?

      https://ufile.io/26924

Just did a test with https://ufile.io/26924 and it was working fine for me on Mac-OS Sierra - MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015).

Installer worked without problems and Feathercoin-QT GUI started fast. Did 1 outgoing transaction and one incoming transaction and both worked well and fast.

      So - now I’m running v0.9.3.1 - GREAT JOB :-)

    • RE: Hi!

Welcome to the forum too - btw. same applies for me. Had been somehow engaged in the past, lost connection, found connection and now searching a way to resurrect discussion culture a bit in here.

What about you? Any interesting finding about FTC during the last weeks? Price seems to be interesting to engage. What do you think?

    • RE: Is there still any activity for Feathercoin

@sradics said in Is there still any activity for Feathercoin:

It has been at least in my impression really silent in this forum for the last months/weeks. Is there any activity for further FTC development planned or is the coin just there and slowly but surely dying? I also cannot find activity at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178286.2400 .

What are in in your opinion reasons to further consider FTC as a valuable altcoin?

      Are developers still on board?
And as far as I can figure it out just a handful of exchanges are still trading FTC - I found
BTER - with extremly low volume (some dollars a day)
      BITTREX - with (1-2K dollars a day)
Anycoin - don’t know the volume but far above the pricing of the exchanges mentioned above (10-30% higher) but at least with direct money to FTC conversion
LiteBit - with 5-10% better conditions than AnyCoin-Coin and direct Money-FTC conversion.

At least some exchanges are still trading FTC - yippie.

I miss the old days full of discussion and debate and life. What about you?

@FlatBlack Found this interesting stats - https://bitinfocharts.com/de/top-100-richest-feathercoin-addresses.html - could be interesting to investigate where the current coins are coming from.

And - there are some large amount investors holding their >3mio coins after a one time buy - I guess they are waiting for the Tsunami ;-)

    • RE: Who is buying?

@Moonman Would be interesting to see survivors and wiped out coins. With currently being on position 73 regarding market volume shown by coinmarketcap FTC is at least not on vogue but also still alive ;-).

It is among the 10% of the top coins out of 709 coins listed in total.

      Some volume numbers

      • Nr. Dead coins - e.g. all with “LowVol” (seems to be below $100/day) = 297 coins
      • Nr. nearly dead coins (trading volume below $1000/day incl. low volume) = 509 coins
      • 71% trading volume between 0-$1000/day
      • 85% trading volume between 0-$7000/day
      • with $7593 for FTC - not that bad

      Percentile regarding market cap

      • 59% are in the range between 0-$10,000.00
      • 84% are in the range between 0-$560,000.00
      • 88% are in the range between 0-$1,000,000.00
      • With $1,250,000.00 - FTC is really still in the top range!

Data based on this google sheet

In addition I’m not aware of (m)any specialities (is neoscrypt one) and ongoing innovations. Asking again - What is special about feathercoin?

Expectations - much more coins will die. FTC will survive ;-) and get back to Nr.3 - (ok - this is more a hope).

Is there someone using trading scripts for Bittrex? Seems they have a strong API and one could automate a lot of trading to cover next P&Ds.

Or what is you strategy beside staying awake and using ubersleep to cover a nearly full time range ;-)

And it is interesting to see that some of the top holders (could also be 1-2 with splitted addresses as the bought amount is the same) have currently huge (not realized) losses of more than 70%. Interesting to see when there bottom limit will be reached?
