Hey Lizhi - did you fix this?, it might be openssl which has been updated due to heartbeat.
If not message Bushstar, he’s done the windows version before.
At the first, thank you for support. ^-^
Under “settings” into the “Diagnostics” i found “Report Issue” and “Reset Blockchain”
If the re-sync is “Reset Blockchain”, yes, I try it but nothing happen.
Anyway I’m going to reset completely the device and re-install the wallet.
The coins were saved…
^-^
If you open the start menu and type %appdata% into the search box it should take you to a folder containing a Feathercoin folder. Inside that is where your wallet. DAT file lives.
Is the browser in Normal mode or Compatibility mode ?
I had this problem with Ie 7 in Normal mode but after switch in Compatibility mode the links was displayed ok
Hopefully, this will help. I’m also on 8.1. I’ve experienced similar today with another coin’s QT. When I installed QT and upon completing the install, letting the program run from the ‘run now’ tickbox, it presents me with a different address to if I run from the program files icon (and a different level of synchronised). Upon closing the program and relaunching it my address had changed, I thought I’d done something silly, but reinstalling the program and following the tick box presented me with the lost address again. So there are two copies of the wallet, and it would seem one is only accessible when launching after installation. Now, I’m wondering, if you run as administrator, as I had to when installing, does it save the wallet into the elevated account’s roaming appdata? And could this possibly be your issue?
*edit* yes it does, running QT clients from the ‘run as administrator’, lands you in the administrator accounts wallet. I guess that makes sense from a logical point of view, but I’ve not seen it mentioned anywhere before.
The problem is what was reported on BitcoinTalk. That makes things a bit quicker to resolve. The change has been put on to GitHub and you can download the latest Windows client from the link below.
https://downloads.feathercoin.com/feathercoin-setup-0.8.6.2.exe
I am compiling the Mac client now.
Thanks for the quick resolution! Going to try it out now.
Quick guide on upgrade and installation can be found here https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/6951-guide-android-wallet-app-upgradeinstallation/
The problem with HTML or Web wallets is that you are not the owner of the wallet: it is not on your phone it is on the server.
This means you need to trust the service provider and if they are hacked or have any kind of problem, loose your FTC or you have to be sure they will reimburse you…
If they are down, you cannot use your wallet.
If we depend on apple, google, MS… is it possible to create a simple secured wallet device ? It could use your phone, wifi or 3g card to be online and allow you to do everything a wallet can do…
Does it make sense ?
I downloaded the Featheraddress package and ran it offline.

I’ve not had chance to test these paper wallets yet though. Having a few problems getting the wallet working on a fresh Xubuntu install.
Thank you buddy! I’ll give it a shot!
I also noticed in UM FTC ATM post that the official FTC client can be used the same way but it is way bigger and needs compiling so I’ll skip this one.
The coin wallets need to pick up other IP addresses to sync to. This is done through a number DNS references in the code. Such as the forum DDoS attack could effect this temporarily, in unusual circumstances. The usual fix is give some addnodes out, so the client can rejoin the p2p network.
In addition to the block winning, where one transaction can end orphaned because a different correct solution was proporgated to 51% of the network, some block are deemed invalid because the contain confilcting transactions.
In addition to the hash criteria, a block needs to contain only valid, non-conflicting transactions. So the other main task for miners is to carefully validate all the transactions that go into their blocks, otherwise they won’t get any reward for their work!
Thanks for your fixing help post! Appreciate that. If your Client is stuck and doesnt load or shows errors maybe it just helps to delete the /roaming/feathercoin folder. (Dont forget to backup your wallet first!) - The client will automaticly recreate this folder and start to download the blockchain again. That should always work.
