Feathercoin parties

Hi all,

I was thinking abou this idea yesteday while writing for Remonius’ his thread.

We need people to use FTC, right? And we need to show people the advantages above bitcoin aka speed.

FTC could easily be used in daily trading. So we could use it at a cafe (Oxford Blue) or a party.

Now this is the idea:

Throw one hell of a party!
At this party you can only pay with FTC: entrance, drinks, …

What needs to be done:

set up a website like FTCparty.com to give information, show location, theme, tickets …
Assemble a team of people willing to invest time in this
Work out an easy way to manage orders: take orders and payments: on a smartphone through website? Use NFC ? Use real featercoins? What with people without smartphone?

Remember: at this stage it is only an idea.
It still needs a lot of thought. But if there is some enthousiasm please submit your thoughts here!

By having a party like this we could easily create publicity by e-mailing some websites or newspapers. Hm, but then we might have to drink responsibly…

Indeed, they would need to be purchased. In my opinion this can’t be done with bitcoin or litecoin due to speed issues.
That is why FTC is actually a better coin.

If people are liking the idea, I wouldn’t mind creating a website for this.
what about: cryptoparty.com, or featherparty.com ?

PS: maybe we can have some birds at the party :)

EDIT: For those who don’t own feathercoin we could set up a trade-shop outside, perhaps with a “what you need to know 101” education stand.

I think they bought their beers with Feathercoins there already - we should get to public places and host such parties where they haven’t heard of Feathercoin yet. Everyone is in for a party but huh wait what? They can’t get a beer with their fiat?! That’s where the fun starts. :)
