There has been talk of possibly setting up a transaction fee, or mining pools where the fees goes to a fund to help pay the cost of a CIC, or bounties etc and I have been mulling over what other ideas that may be able to raise a small amount of funds for FTC.
What about FTC merchandise?
There are plenty of companies out there that will give you a free online shop front end where you upload images to make shirts, stickers coffee mugs etc with them on them.
Someone buys one the company that makes them gets their cut and you get a slice of the price too and all you need to do is create the image file and chose what it can be used on.
Here is one company that does it for T-shirts and clothing
And this I just found after a 30 second search.
I doubt this would rake in huge amounts of money, but a small trickle from FTC branded stickers, shirts coffee mugs etc is better than nothing.

It was MrWyrm who forst contacted me about the idea. which is essentially feathercoin merch with your address QR code on.
Ive found a great site that will deal with all the payments etc and allow you to put a % on top (maybe as a dev fund)
We could quite easily add quite a few products and feathercoin images / slogans
or maybe even make it cross coin with pheonixcoin? as they are in the same boat as us. (and even bitcoin as its all for cash anyway.)

Sounds like a plan, would need to be advertised on the FTC homepage as well as the forum.

With a CIC set up, we could deal with fiat money easily.

I made a little progress with the original one after some issues with authentication.
But I found http://www.zazzle.co.uk (I think that’s the one)
It let’s you setup templates and pass any image you like I to the template. So we could generate qr code images or just use static ones for logos etc and it looks pretty easy to setup and use. Or at least no more complex.

I hadn’t got as far as checking prices, so don’t know if its better or worse.
I had only checked you could do it and was just floating the idea before I put any big effort into it

Its free to setup both but I guess if he cost of the items are too high no one will buy anything. -
Could be worth while finding a UK based one and a USA based one as I’m guessing those two countries have the largest concentration of FTC users and if we offer it out of both contries it should in theory make postage cheaper for people which would hopefully increase sales, as no one wants to buy a coffee cup for $5 and then have to pay $20 postage on it

One thing I forgot to say is if we do set this up I don’t want to be the one receiving the money.
I’m too new here and I think someone in the UK would be better managing it

This was what I thought, one of the reason I didn’t take the project further. The CIC would sort this, as the money would legally belong to that entity.

I can see if we can all be included in order confirmations so everyone can see I’m being honest!
