I created a profit calculator for Feathercoin using Excel.

Basically it offers you a simple and easy method to keep track on how much money you spend, how much money you gained or how much money you lost. Also it is very easy to use because you only have to enter how much FTC you own. Everything else is calculated automatically.

Features:

• It calculates your overall profit
• It keeps track of how many Feathercoin you send or recieve each day
• A table that automatically provides you with the newest information about BTC and FTC (data from https://coinmarketcap.com/)
• Automatic calculations of the cost that comes with mining based on your own values
• Almost fully automatic. You only have to enter the amount of FTC that you own each day
• A nice diagramm which shows you how much money you gained over time
• Right now it supports USD and EUR

This project is also available on GitHub now. You are welcomed to make your own contributions on order to make it even better.

Right now there are two versions. One for EUR and one for USD. If you want me too add another currency just leave a message.

You don’t have to solo mine. You could also join a p2pool. It’s decentralized too and you get paid directly to your own wallet with completely fresh coins.

Here is a list of all p2pools that are available.

You can join any pool. The main difference between all pools are their fees and their location. Just choose a pool that is close to you. And don’t worry if your pool has no other miners on it. The hashrate is shared between all p2pools.

i thought a while about how i could help with the development of ftc. I know i could make some donations but they would be pretty small because i just can’t afford to give money away right now. But considering Peter is working for free currently and has done a lot for our community in a very short amount of time i wanted to give something back. Considering i am mining over 12 hours a day i thought that i could just share a little bit of my hashrate.

To do this i created a p2pool that is collecting a 1% fee. The payout adress for these fees is Peters donation adress (6hf9DF8H67ZEoW9KmPJez6BHh4XPNQSCZz). I don’t think that i can prove that i am really using his adress and that this isn’t a scam except by mining on it myself and getting the first payments to his adress done so you have to trust me at the beginning. Or is there a way to check to which adress the fees are getting paid?

It is very important that you use this adress and not the ip adress from http://p2pool.neoscrypt.de/ because i don’t have a static ip adress. It changes every day.

Update
I simplified it even more. You only have to enter the amount of FTC you own with the new version. Everything else is calculated automatically. Only if you use it for the first time you have to enter how much you paid for your mining hardware or coins in the Cost table.
The only drawback left is that you have to open the file atleast once each day. It isn’t a big problem if you don’t do it. It just means that you have to insert the price that FTC had over the past days manually. Because right now the table can only update the value for the current day. After the day is over it saves the value. So if it didn’t got any input you have to do it manually.
Also with the current version you can’t just enter USD values anymore because everything is automatic. So i will upload a USD version later this day or tomorrow too.

And thanks for your positive feedback. I will do a little bit of research on how to use github because i never used it for my own projects yet. Also should i migrate this into a different section of the forum? I just posted it here because that’s what the rules said.

And i don’t have a problem if you would like to embed this into the website. If you have the knowledge then go for it :D

My guess is that cpu mining neoscrypt is just that inefficient. I never tried it myself though.

Currently i am mining monero with my cpu and feathercoin with my gpu. I then use miningpoolhub to exchange my monero to feathercoin automatically.

That it works without a username or a password is normal. You don’t need that for mining. You only need it if you want the coins to be credited to your account. And to be able to login to your account to withdraw coins.

The reason why you don’t get shares on the pool is because the gui miner is completely outdated. I think it still uses the scyrpt algo instead of neoscrypt. So all your shares are getting rejected by the pool. You can see that your hashrate is at over 700Mhash/s. A gtx 980 can probably do 800-900Khash/s with neoscrypt.

As already mentioned above you should use ccminer. I can provide you with an example .bat file late if you need help with that.

Also the reason why your anti virus is going nuts when you install a miner is because there is a lot of malware that contains miners that steal you cpu and gpu power. That’s why they always flag them as malicoius. So you can ignore these warnings.

Currently there seem to be a lot of failed logins at cryptopia. I had multiple too. I guess some hackers bought login data and are now trying these combinations out on exchanges.

Make sure to activate 2fa on your account. This ensures that they can’t login into your account even if they have the right password.

Also change your password immediatly if you use the same password on a different website. During recent hacks of other websites your login data could have been stolen too.

@amdd It’s 6.5cm but i only because i didn’t wanted to make it larger. I can resize it to whatever size i need. The original file is four times a big. It wouldn’t even fit on my print bed which is 22x22cm.
