    • Getting ftc noticed

No fan of mindless pumps as I’ve probably made clear by now. However with block halving soon now is a time to get ftc noticed.
Nowadays bitcointalk is just full of crap, promotion of one scamish ico after another, however whether we like it or not its still is a central point to get a crypto noticed and promoted.

Feathercoin deserves way more then its current minor place way down the list on what cryptos are currently center stage.

Lets all take the time to make some post on bitcointalk , of this older well established, much loved crypto, at worse we could get more people on board.

Use this blockhalving to help feathercoin to the next level., rare opportunity to help prevent it fading in the background, and get the solid work done by our devs noticed.

please don’t be shy and post away. if 1001 premined and scam icos can get a lift from promotion on bitcointalk then why can’t feathercoin a genuine crypto project!!!

but the price is still very low now,if the price still too low, most people will not pay attention on it.

yet oddly enough that’s the best time to pay attention !

Hum you bet on the leverage effect if I understood well ?

A high BTC make the altcoin low, when this gonna inverse, then the leverage gonna put the altcoin high.

I think this is a bit risky, as we don’t know when BTC gonna finish its rise.

And the altcoin chart are also link to their own life. So not only the leverage.

Heh, it used to work like this for Litecoin back in the day.

But to be honest - I’m long on FTC…like very very long. Would probably only sell in the year 2020 :-) or never, I want to be able to spend my FTC in a shop one day.

same i am very long in my core crypto holdings. i don’t cash out to fiat, (i trade but in between coins), always keeping my core holdings in a few (like ftc) waiting for a time when its easy to shop with etc.

thats the whole goal of these or there’s been no real point. alternative to fiat’s the aim not a fiat token to gain more fiat.

manage to pick up more today and the last few days (feels like today i was the only buy walls lol), always predicted (like others here) 700 sat, so 600 sat type buys i’m most happy to take.
most who’ve been around 2013 etc know alts fall bigtime when BTC rallies properly, but the good ones should rebound and sometimes massively.

i still think ftc has a big crypto future, no ones ever answered my “purpose of ftc” fully yet; but its there.

here’s to a great 2017 for ftc (and other non scam cryptos).

@looarn excellent to see work being done and fresh recruits. the current market games we are observing seem indifferent to fundamentals; looks like someone is purposely driving the price down.
although no surprises with current lows (i’ve predicted 700sat as the usual bottom to this type of play). but as with AmDD, i’ve not waited til the bottom to start buying more, just surprising how easily my low ball orders keep being filled.

    • Feathercoin 2019 the plan?

Lets have the new year give FTC a renewed interest, thankfully some very good people have been ticking it along. Now time for the rest of the community to stepup to the mark.

Feathercoin deserves a much higher positioning in the current crypto community, we are talking what use to be a top 5 coin, in a era before ICOs and 100001 scamcoins. Lets work to position it where it deserves.

yes lets add ftc to every shit exchange and spread an already low liquidity :rowboat: (though i am not against adding it to quality exchanges that could add to the user base).

    • RE: FTC development vision

      @peeet
i see it very different, in recent years the crypto community has had an unhealthy obsession with “innovation”.

add “innovation” any “innovation”, innovation for innovation sack, otherwise you’re coin is stale.

I say to everyone, time for a check, and i certainly agree with you on “Ask yourselves what purpose will Feathercoin serve? Where can we use it? How can we use it?”

its about creating a usable currency, which is a world away from needing innovation like its a mission to mars.

currency needs KISS (Keep In Simple Stupid) and even Bitcoin in its simplest form is already too complicated.

Feathercoin can have a purpose and its a big one., it can be what the original vision for what Bitcoin was still (as bitcoin itself is becoming far removed from).

Feathercoin can be a legit usable currency, and its one of the best original coins that has a chance to be true to this., and to grow in user base. this is where the focus needs to be put.

Bitcoin and Litecoin have become too controlled by certain interest groups, relatively small groups that have way to much control over shaping their future.
Feathercoin can remain fully community controlled. that may sound crazy for now but i do think that will win in the end.

    • How is it possible?

We have a world where BTC in my currency is currently AUD $6200+ LTC AUD $110+ how the hell is FTC only 8.7 cent …

I know I don’t normally care for price…but it makes one wonder how low FTC price is compared to its Value v BTC n LTC.

seriously any day of the week I’d prefer FTC over BTC…in easy of use and FTC is more true to the original BTC vision then BTC is imho.

Yes it hasn’t got the same acceptance however 8.7 cents in a world where scammy go nowhere ICOs reach 10s of millions of Dollars overnite?

thoughts? is FTC due for a serious revalue?

ok this slowish (for crypto) build in price and volume looks promising. obviously driven by block halving, but potential to rise it to the next level and get ftc more notice.

    • RE: working on new exchanges

I respectfully disgree, freebitcoins.com has been around many years and the owners are well respected in the crypto community. the xchange part is just starting up., and they have to start somewhere. Big plus is they won’t trade in fiat. Nowadays exchanges have spread too many alts across many exchanges making it difficult to trade older coins like ftc., so alts need to be on as many as possible.

Be working on getting new exchange listings for feathercoin. Think I have freebitcoins.com/xchange/ onboard, if they list can we see some support from the ftc community :)

And how can you put in the top 5, what can people do, what are your solutions?

Well I think once the dust settles many of the 1001 scam projects will die, opportunity then for some of the original coins that still remain strong to rise up the rankings.

    • RE: Prove him wrong !!!!!

interesting to watch though and it does express a certain sector of the cryptos communities (especially new peoples) views.
seems in crypto there is an obsession with flipping to the latest coins as if they are some new tech (over older coins like btc n ftc etc),. so it leaves room for people to just pump out coins/platforms adding a ‘tech’ talking whitepaper and the voom they get to be flavor of the day til the next new tech coin/flatform spams the community.

way better for crypto adoption is to improve on the btc type platforms.
