I recommend to portforward, its the best way to get connections.

Just portforward 9336-9337 in your router and the connection problems are gone :)

You’re linking to a web page, not an image. That’s why.

The image at the web page is here: [url=http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/4199/wury.png]http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/4199/wury.png[/url]

And when embedded in a img tag looks like this:

      [img]http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/4199/wury.png[/img]

Putting a web page in an image tag won’t work.
      [/quote]

      Kevlar,

Thanks a million, that was exactly the answer I was looking for. Now I just need to learn how to uncover the full path to those .jpg files after I upload them?

I have been reading a lot of your stuff, and most of it is difficult for me to fully grasp. Not trying to pump your ego here, but your pretty intelligent guy with a pretty cool skill set and I am glad your apart of Feathercoin. I am grateful that with all the more important things your working on, like the whole file share in the block chain project, you still took the time to answer my simple problem, says a lot and I will be giving you rep for that for sure.

      peace

“wallet” is the closest topic I could find for some very basic questions from someone who is new to cyber currency and also not especially into the tech part…1)how do feathercoins transfer?..I presume from “address to address” but what address is that? I posted an item from sale in the market but could not complete the process because I don’t know what “address” to insert…is it my regular email, my PayPal account, my encrypted wallet, or what? 2.) once some fc have been transferred, then what? can they be transferred easily to other currencies, crypto or fiat, or is that a lot of effort? Some very basic info would be very helpful for very undereducated consumers…

1.What exactly backup wallet does ?
2.if I backup my wallet and copy the backup file on a flash memory, will my wallet become empty ?
3.if someone steal my backup file , and load it to his wallet, my wallet becomes empty ?
      4. In general how can I secure my wallet on a flash memory and put it on my safe ?
      5. How can I transfer my wallet from one computer to other ?
      [/quote]

a back up is exactly that - a back up of your wallet. you can make as many backups as you want no, your wallet will be the same yes. If you encrypt your wallet he will need to know your password. if he doesnt then you will still have the funds you need to create a new wallet and send funds to that address. Then put the wallet.dat file on the usb and keep it safe. just install a new wallet on that computer, create an address then send the coins to it.

Can’t this be done just using ‘make’ ?

That seemed to work for other coin clients.
      [/quote]

There are several options to compile the wallet and wrapper described the designer approach.

you also could try to compile by changing into the directory containing the feathercoin-qt.pro file, do a 'qmake ’ followed by a ‘make’.

can be “USE_UPNP=1 USE_QRCODE=1”, but not required for the comilation and basic operation of the wallet.

That site contains incorrect version of the software, I am informing admin. That is why you cannot sync.

I am adding this Mode of Failure to the support docs.

You must, only download from this site or Github if you know where your going.

Some days ago I created a short description how to create paper wallets and the way to convert it back into your Feathercoin-QT wallet - described in [url=http://grow-feathercoin.blogspot.de/2013/12/prepare-feathercoin-christmas-present.html]http://grow-feathercoin.blogspot.de/2013/12/prepare-feathercoin-christmas-present.html [/url] . Maybe it helps.
      [/quote]

Very nice indeed, I would like you to add to the ‘‘I tried it with my Feathercoin-QT via the Debug Console with the following commands’’ how to get to the Debug Console in the client. When I was searching for info about the paper wallet I did only find the codes such as privkeyimport etc but not where to type them, which is very crucial for beginners (I typed the codes on facebook but it didn’t work omg).

You’ve probably tried this already. Run cgminer.exe with the -T option. This gives a more verbose output. so it would be

      cgminer.exe [color=red]-T[/color] --scrypt -o [url=http://pool2.d2.cc:3333]http://pool2.d2.cc:3333[/url] -u Username -p Password --intensity 5

See what you get. It’s helped me in the past.
