Honnestly I don’t see a big advantage here.
Yes, it is not the best situation to share the genesis block with Litecoin, but things are as they are.The risk is much higher than the possible advantage.
At the end exchanges accept coins that are traded at high rate and give revenues to them.
Let’s think about ways to enhance the acceptance of Feathercoin instead of thinking about a kind of Russian roulette to replace the genesis block
Cool!
One of the things that brought me to FTC and has kept me here are the little projects like this. There are so many cool things that have been done or dreamed up in this community!
I wish I was more of a dev to really be able to understand and build from this.
Just hearing that snap packages are becoming available on the OpenSuse (FTCs) build service.
I still believe it would be worthwhile mirroring the build to the Launchpad service, so Debian based snaps are automatically created, this should make that even easier.
Just deciding what to put in FTC help, has anyone used Coinnector …
What is the status of Coinnector with FTC? FTC is on the inner pages but not on the main page

On a Linux system you can use ‘tail -f ~/.feathercoin/debug.log | grep -i fork >> myfile’
Then the file ‘myfile’ contains all log entries containing ‘fork’, ‘Fork’, ‘FORK’
I’m pretty sure there is no similar command line possible in Windows
It doesn’t matter in general if you split your coins into many wallets or keep a single one as long as your private keys are in a safe storage. If the elliptic curve cryptography fails, we’ll have a much larger problem than coin theft. The Internet as we see it will be over.
I have been investigating the usefulness of “cheap” Arm smart TV boxes. As905 quad core Arm is quite powerful, enough to start running a full desktop. It currently runs Android.
It is relatively straight forward to compile the Bitcoin codebase for Arm 7 and above should have enough power to run graphics.
I am looking into wither a build service covers cross compiling a Arm build?

It would be great if we could add the BSD port of Linux Link / Maybe highlighted as “Unsupported Distro section”?
Needs to be part of Feathercoin release procedure to inform BSD ports?
Just wondering if it is time for an update to the Feathercoin ARCH Linux repository?
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:aguswinata/feathercoin-qt
Could we add that to Linux FTC downloads page?
https://software.opensuse.org/package/feathercoin
We need inform the Arch repository ports as part of the Feathercoin release procedure.
Update: Tweaked the frontend slightly, removed Bitcoin branding, NodeJS app running in “production” mode, url paths working (/api/)
To be done: Edit the API page and remove all bitcoin related hashes, replace with feathercoin values so the examples work… and maybe add HTTPS ?
