@jimmy24651 NSGminer can do solo mining with the NVIDIA GPUs, though performance is lower than of those CUDA miners right now. It may change in the future if it gets a separate NVIDIA OpenCL kernel. My CUDA miner supports GetWork and Stratum, so if the latest UFO still supports GetWork, it will do.
Yes, but the CLTV has been implemented into the 0.11.0 codebase.
UFO has now the 0.11.0 version BTC codebase implemented up & running.
Of course ufocoin.net is the UFO news place…

In gihub, any binaries the dev makes are listed in the Releases link at the top. His latest (2 years old this month) includes all the binaries in one zip file rather than individual .exe’s (I’m assuming you’re running windoze…).
If you want to compile, you can either use git to clone the repo (copy locally) or download the zip or tar.gz’d source in the Releases page.
@xonar Nicely explained. 2018 could be a year of more regulation. ICOs in particular might get regulated, so in theory some coins may also get wiped clean.
@bluebox said in Difficulty re-targeting:
FTC’s diff algo also plays games with multipool “profitability” calculations as well, depending on sample timing. Can see this on whattomine, FTC is up one minute and down the next.
Yes, that is EHRC at work.
What the big coin switching pools do is also called ‘selfish mining’ as they throw in high hash power, mine a lot of coins compared to the ‘permanent miners’ and switch away, leaving the permanent miners with a low hash rate and high difficulty and less coins mined than they normally would with a constant hash rate.
EHRC was designed to react fast on changes in hash rate, driving away the coin switching pool shortly after they switch on and also adjust the difficulty down fast, so the loss of income for the ‘permanent miners’ is mitigated.
Someone must have been watching the network traffic closely to spot the 0.8.8.3 client. It is a maintenance release to allow v3 blocks on 0.10. Feels like a lot of effort as 0.9 will be coming out tomorrow or the day after. The 0.8 source has to be updated and as I have to compile I may as well release it.
I will test that it syncs and that UPNP is enabled, make sure that UPNP is enabled on your router to allow the auto configuration of incoming ports. It should work without it, but more connections are supported with the incoming ports open.
