[/quote]That’s a good idea… maybe the extra 5BTC that justabitoftime threw in can go towards that for the 33k block. The only thing though is that if this was to happen, I would think that most small miners would find the biggest pool and join that, not only possibly making the pool 50% but also diminishing the worth of the reward.

Awesome idea! I spread the word through the trollbox a few times to hopefully grab some more attention to this. I got all my miners going at wemineftc’s pool.

I thought I posted here but i must have not hit submit and got distracted :) We will coordinate with Bushstar if one of our members finds any of the blocks and will pass their BTC address to bushstar and the finder will receive 100% of the bounty, the pool will not take any. We want to see FTC succeed!

I may play the role of the skeptic who tries to keep people’s feet planted firmly on the ground, but even I have to say that this is a [b]BOLD[/b] move, and one that I am greatly surprised by.
I bought into FTC on day 1 because I felt strongly that the differences were critical and that cryptocurrencies needed democratic solutions to difficult problems, and FTC was a good move. I held onto it because I saw that there was a strong community surrounding it, one I’m proud to say I’ve been a member of since the start. I’ve defended it more than once on other more popular forums (I’m Kevlar there too), and I’ve been converting my meager btc into ftc as the price continued to fall, trying to not pay more than .0001 for each. I was surprised by the rate of fall off when difficulty changed, but I held on because I felt a tie to the community and wanted to place my bet on what I felt had the best chance of long term success.
And today, I’m being rewarded by seeing the people who I have come to think of as my online friends put all their heart and soul into making this coin not JUST successful, but actually record breaking. We’re witnessing the first cryptocurrency to ever have it’s backers put their money where their mouth is and rally a community through crowdfunded rewards for participation with the expectation that by doing so the value will increase… and it’s WORKING.
My hat goes off to you guys. Way to make this happen like you said you would. As far as I’m concerned, a coin that’s backed by genuine honesty and a community that won’t quit is worth more than anything else out there, and you’ll continue to see me buy them up as this continues as a result.
