Another newbie here, looking forward to the future of alt coins!

I downloaded the FTC client and launched it early this morning. It had been trying to sync for about 6 hours, and I noticed the debug log stopped grabbing new transactions dated after July 2nd, when it lost an IRC connection. I just now restarted it, and it looks like it’s syncing again properly nowâ€¦ Is this common?

I’d like to try my hand at some mining. I have an AMD 7950 that’s just kinda sitting around not doing anything right now. From what I’ve read, it looks like FTC mining is still somewhat profitable with this card.

I think you need to relax first. Urgency is not really a motivator.

Hello, I am new to FTC forum and interested in promising alternative cryptocurrencies. It’s crazy the early adopter millionaires of BTC assume that it will be the only crypto currency when there are so many currencies in the world today doing fine. I think this currency has a bright future as a mode of exchange, unlike btc where people just hoard it and dont spend it. No incentive for people to adopt BTC when its so expensive.
