      Hello,

I am attempting to install Feathercoin Qt (feathercoin-qt.exe, Windows version) from the web site. Running it as a normal user, and as an administrator, always results in the following message:

      “Error creating file:
      C:\user\me\program files (x86)\Feathercoin\feathercoin-qt.exe
      Access is denied.”

I have tried to change the folder location to a directory on my RAID array (Z:\Feathercoin\), yet it results in the same error message. This is in Windows 7. If this problem has been posted before, please direct me to where the solution is, because I couldn’t find anything involving it when using the search function here on the FTC site.

      Thanks!

I don’t use Windblows, but will try to help.

Re-download the windows file from the feathercoin site. Download it to c:\temp. run the installation from there and tell me the results.

That fix worked and it is now running.

Basically I assumed either a bad download or a long directory name error (with Windows) caused the problem. That is why I asked Samuraiken to try a new download, from the correct site to a short name directory.

Have you tried to re-download the wallet install to c:\temp? and run it from there.
