\[solved\] AMD Catalyst Control Centre Issues \* miner advice

I was trying to set up a GUIMiner (being new to it all and wanting to dip my toe) but was running into endless problems. Such as GUIMiner getting stuck at “connecting” or “starting”. I attempted to run cgminer and reaper on their own but was having them crash when compiling.
Long story short it turns out the 13.4 version of Catalyst isnt working with Open CL. Upgrading to the 13.6 beta fixed all my problems.
Hope this saves someone the hours I lost :D

Yeap, 13.1 with cgminer 2.11 is what I use. 13.4 gave me ~400khs on default settings with all other cgminers, so I reverted to my old setup and now have ~700khs with a default 7970 settings.
