Oh wow… Do you think your one of the first to do this?

Also, why does it it say 0.00khash/s in the screen capture?
the screen capture is error information. coinotron.com say 83K.

          Cool.
Wonder what the prices on ebay will become :)
Prices have not been finalized. Official sales version to sell at January 2014. Development motherboard is 550CNY,about 91$. I think USB block erupters with four GC3355 chip about 240$. ;)

for now at least, $240 is better spent on a GPU that can get more than 240Khash. It’s good to know what’s coming though. I imagine the technology will evolve pretty quickly and could leave GPU mining in the dust.

very cool! but $240 for 240 khs is kinda high, but i bet the power savings are great.

if i remember correctly it was around 2w pr unit. meaning those 240khashes only use 8w… have gpu’s beaten on that part ;D

Great work lizhi for keeping us up to date!

These aren’t for mass consumption. They’re engineering samples for enthusiasts. The next step is taping out an ASIC from this design, from which you can expect to get anywhere from 2x to 10x the performace at 1/2 to 1/4 the power consumption. I imagine they’re selling these in order to raise the money to do this. Then we’ll see savings.

As long as the final price isnt astronomical then ill probably grab a few. idk what im going to do next summer, mining in texas during that time will make my apartment a sauna.

I’d love to buy one! This would be great for mining on my laptop.

If you break down the price, that’s very reasonable. I spent $2000 on a 1.8~2.0 MH/s rig for scrypt with conventional GPU tech that eats 750 watts of power.

His Scrypt Erupters cost exactly the same per KH/s, minus the electricity expenses so his technology is actually the same price in the short term and less expensive in the long term. Sign me up for 10. :)
