Feathercoin - 0.8.5 - Alt-currency updates - possible patches to note

In addition to the updates and fixes being implemented in Bitcoin and Litecoin which need consedering, there are also some other intersting patches being made by other alt coins to the protocol.
These are just ones that appear to have been offered back to Litecoin?.
I liked the Franko guy and his coin seems “hip”. he just patched these changes, do they effect Feathercoin?
