Switched from vista to win 7

sgminer didn’t like 14.9 or 14.11 beta but is getting on famously with 14.6-rc2

Same config/settings as my last post with an xintensity of 2 (which produced 128kh/s on vista) now gives 229kh/s!

I thought that was low for my latest.

…and to think I was pretty happy when your latest took me from 70kh to 115 on vista :D

                Thanks again man

                No problem.

Anything further that can be done for VLIW hardware? 50Kh/s is a tremendous step up and almost puts neoscrypt on a par efficiency wise with Diamond and probably better than the best scrypt coins, but 50 Kh/s isn’t good enough when people with 1 generation newer hardware are hitting 200+.

I’d upgrade my cards if I could, but I can’t until probably February.

Wolf0? Love your desktop images btw. There was a rumor you might be working on a VLIW kernel. Any progress?

I was going to, but since I don’t have a card that old, I think Ghostlander’s got it. I’ve got something for Hawaii, though.

I have been following this thread for a few days. I was wondering if someone can summarize what exactly is going on? (like the proess to get 200-300 kb/s on the r9 series cards).

From what I can tell we have a few people working on sgminer and most on wolf’s mod of cgminer. Which comes from Vehre’s mod of cgminer. Which I am assuming comes from a branch of 3.7.2 cgminer at some point back down the line. I haven’t mined since May…I moved and other stuff happened…life…( was mining on cgminer 3.3.4 before I stopped)

So I am wondering a few things. I downloaded Vehre’s miner and installed it a few days ago on xubuntu 12.04 with catalyst 13.12 I believe. Got 1.6 kh/s. Then I found out Radeon HD series 5 and 6 weren’t supported (that was a 6670 in that box).

So for the people trying to run series 5000 and 6000 cards (getting the 50 kh/s) are you using wolfs mod or something else? What version of catalyst are you running and on what OS?

I have a litany of different cards (more cards than computers, but I can find 30 dollar boxes farily easily). Do I use wolfs mod for the 7000 series? Should I update all my computer to ubuntu 14.04 server, xubuntu 14.04, or is xubuntu 12.04 okay? I see most of you are running catalyst 14.6/14.7 (I don’t see thse on the AMD site)…where do I find that? Is it worth running over 14.9 at the moment?

Also what is xintensity…is that a new setting?

                      I have a

                      7950

                      7850

                      7790 x2

                      7750

                      6970

                      6950 x2

                      6770

                      6750

                      6670 x3

                      5870 x3

                      5850

                      5570 x3

I only mine during the winter (makes economical sense…I have to heat the place…and it is about 30 deg F outside). Also they drop the price here for winter to 6.5 cents a kilowatt-hr after a certain point.

Anyway, any help or posted links to guides would be helpful. I found some of the guides on this site, but I think my problem more is following what you guys are trying and testing so I can get up to speed.

                      Thanks for any help.

It seems to me that I have received 558.4877956 FTC for my discovery of xintensity settings. Tnx ppl, didn’t expect so much :)

I’ll push my VLIW kernel further, but not now. I have other important things to do apart of some money making.

@Wolf hah as you know often in life prize goes to the one who didn’t deserved much :) When I started to port neoscrypt to sgminer it took me 3 days and I ended with bug I wasn’t able to fix without more work. Eventually I stopped my work regarding that but now I m glad because knowing me instantly I would share that with ppl instead keeping that for myself earning lot of coins each day. Exactly 12 days ago I had a fastest miner and share that info on my local forum. There are ppl who have tons of FTC and none of them send me single one for increasing their performance 7 times. Next time I will not share much there. But at the end I must say that I was playing smart and didn’t mined FTC much, instead I mined UFO and earned about 1.3BTC from 6 hours of mining in day one, then I use them to buy more FTC, still holding lot of UFOs :) So neoscrypt is win win situation :)
