Website Overhaul

Dear developers and staff,
The website www.feathercoin.com needs to be updated. The algorithm has changed but a newcomer cannot find a miner on the main website! This is lower-class that a user has to go through the forums to download something and get a howto. Even worse, what he or she gets is outdated. Searching “Neoscrypt miner download” on Google does not bring any sensible results and this is not good! If not to say it is awful!
Thus, we have to change it. It’s a big surprise it has not changed yet. Please help us to prioritize the outstanding work:
1. Stating clearly that the algorithm has changed on the first page. A new text explaining what has been done should be uploaded. Furthermore, a new video should be added alongside the old one. Some cliches need to be altered. OK, I know FTC is free from a central bank; So are the other scrypt-based coins! We do need to show the originality of our work. Every piece of work that has been done and is innovative should be present on the first page. There is much brilliant work done by the developers which have remained unknown to public.
2. Putting a link to the latest NeoGpuminer on the main website.
3. Putting a link to a howto for different OSes.
4. Changing the website appearance generally. So much work has been done to change the algorithm, so the website should change accordingly!
Please share your ideas about this. Every idea is appreciated!

(This is our coin so we shouldn’t have to chase all over the net trying to find all the relevant info and tools to mine it - and neither should any new miners.)

Can we get Kete access to the website?

Maybe if NeoScrypt.net and the new website design/mod can be done in tandem. Many things on the website will need to also be on Neo.

Picking up Kete’s point about missing links to miners on the main page, there are links to the wallet on the main page, but for example I can’t see them in opera, as I dont get the full page displayed.
We need to test at least the main page with different browsers on different operating systems, to make sure, that the important elements are visible on the page.
Worst case we must switch to different pages based on browser and version.

OK guys, I cross compiled sgminer successfully. Time to move to the website.
I’ll upload sgimer as well and then, I will start writing the intro text immediately. I’ll hand it in to Dave once it is done.

The intro was written. It is being reviewed for approval!
The next step is to write a document about innovations done for FTC. Then, I think we can demolish the first page.

Yeah, we need to do something. Im not seeing a favorable site here. I see dead images and dead links to the blockexporer and such. No good.
