No, unfortunately there is only one version of the Android wallet available, which is 0.8.7 equivalent.
As 0.8.7.x clients work again in the network, the Android wallet should work again, too.
As the development of the Android wallet is following after the PC/Mac versions, I recommend to store smaller amounts of coins on an Android wallet only and backup the keys of the wallet regulary
