As you may know, Bter.com charges a withdrawl fee for FTC to the the amount of 0.2%+0.1 FTC. This is way more than the other coins and indeed any other site. I have mailed them regarding this but have received no response.

Please mail them at [email protected] so that they are pressured into reducing the withdrawl fee.

BTC-e charge 0.01 FTC per withdraw. They also charge you 0.2% for every exchange (buying/selling) FTC.

So I don’t know if that is so high in the end…

Bter also charges 0.2% for trades. The promotion period is over.

A bump to say be careful while trading with Bter. My account got hacked a few days ago and I lost most of my balance. I had 2.3 LTCs, 164 FTCs and 320 WDCs. The attacker couldn’t withdraw so used the gap between buy/sell to trade with his own account. By the time I noticed it and changed the password, I had lost everything but 105 FTCs (which I promptly withdrew).

I am not an expert, but others reckon it was a MitM attack. Just wanted to share my experience so that readers will be careful. If you must trade there then IMO deposit, trade and withdrew. Don’t let funds lying there.

I have emailed them a few days back, they don’t care to answer or do something. In fact, they suck as a trading platform. They don’t do trading in honest and transparent way.

For example, there are two buy orders, 100 coins at 0.0010 BTC and 100 coins at 0.0009 BTC. You place a sell order for 200 coins at 0.0009 BTC, so you close both positions. Each buyer receives 100 coins minus 0.2% trading fee paying 0.1 and 0.09 BTC respectively. You’re supposed to receive 0.19 BTC - 0.2%, right? No, you get 0.18 BTC - 0.2% only. All of your sell order gets processed at 0.0009 BTC. They keep the difference.

Ghostlander - yeah, noticed that too.

Anyways, I am done with Bter. The loss still rankles me. I was boasting over on this forum how I bought FTC at 0.0003; well, Karma’s a bitch.

Just hope people are careful with trading there. With Cryptsy looking good and a fast response service there is no shortage of options.
