Sorry for confusing ppl!

I found another card 5870 have posted i,ages above.

I have done some testing one boots into windows and is showing in device manage fine.

Other booted to windows first time but then frooze can boot into bios with it connected ok.

Welp, that’s me out. I’ll have to leave it to the guy who has enough hashing power already to solo mine, and the guy who is afraid that another couple of gpus in his house will blow his fuses.

I’ll just keep plodding along silently with a shitty 5850 and pools that go from 3 hours to 24 hours to give me 2ftc.

Well, a pair of HD5870 is nowhere close to a pair of HD6990 in means of power consumption. Besides I’m about to phase out a rig with HD48x0 hardware. It has served me very well over the years, but it consumes too much electricity while delivering hash rates comparable to a single HD5870.

Got the cards this week, Royal Mail was slow horribly this time. One card displays no video, though it’s visible in device manager. Depending on the card’s mood, the drivers may install and work fine for a while or they may not. Needs more work. The 2nd card had a broken capacitor. No problem, fixed. It works very well now at 900MHz/5200MHz, a good hasher. Not a bad deal I’d say.
