I called for an LTC/FTC board to be added to btc-e.

This update https://btc-e.com/news/147 says they moved their suggestion board to: http://hdbtce.kayako.com/

CRITCAL: Note LTC/FTC not FTC/LTC. As in how many FTCs would you like. This sets FTC up as the desired quantity and LTC as the quantity spent.

I think I made a good argument for it and we should definitely pursue this.

People are going to see BTC as a squabbling infighting community trying to capitalize on as much hype as possible. Yes we can buy money cards. But aside from Bitmit what is there? The GPU rush is going to cause back and forth movement between LTC and FTC. Why should they have to go through BTC to get in between?

Also there’s going to be friendly rivalry between LTC and FTC and people who mine one for the other will be constantly buying and selling. Eventually we can cast off the navel gazing Gold 2.0 chasers and see some serious progress.

This will be an activism item next week! I’d love to see a FTC/USD option as well.

I think FTC/USD is a better idea. Adding LTC/FTC will peg the coin at or beloew Litecoin. Feathercoin should shoot higher than Litecoin. It should not shoot to be a compliment to Litecoin, but should supersede Litecoin.

The addition of such things as Zerocoin will help it identify itself more, instead of being in the shadows of other coins. The value of the coin should be set high. Never have the idea that the current value doesn’t mean anything. It means everything. We are money oriented society.

Awesome, but would btc-e rather impliment ltc/ftc first and see how that goes. Personally I’m all for shooting higher than ltc and even btc, i love that attitude ;D, feathercon rocks.

Honestly, I think the implementation of Zerocoin and the addition of Feathercoin to MT.GOX would be the two best things to propel this coin forward.

I’d say we all agree but we can’t narrow our options, we need to attack all areas.

LTC/USD - USD is the standard, LTC is the alternative.
BTC/USD - USD is the standard, BTC is the alternative.
FTC/LTC - LTC is the standard, FTC is the alternative. (this is not what we want!)

We want:
LTC/FTC and USD/FTC. USD/FTC is unlikely, but LTC/FTC with the next week’s performance is quite likely.

Not saying to narrow options, but increasing the value should be first and foremost. Increased value means more mainstream coin and more mainstream coin means more merchant support, which in turn opens more doors.

By convention, the unit after the slash is the mainstream unit and the unit before the slash is the unit consumed to acquire the mainstream unit.

We want FTC to be the mainstream unit.
In BTC/USD, you need 109 USD for 1 BTC.
Think diamond/USD. Need xyz,000 USD for 1 diamond.

We want people to say, “Hmm… 0.01 FTC to buy an LTC.” :)

The bottom unit is the exit unit. The one people use.

There is going to be a choke point for BTC with more and more ASICs. Fewer people will want BTCs, because no one will be able to get them. They will flood to FTC and LTC. But every time FTC and LTC pass each other in profitability they will have to go to BTC to switch. We want them to switch between FTC and LTC and be free of nuclear bunker coin (BTC).

BTC is becoming a hindrance to new development. It needs to be shaken off.

I’m happy as I can trade my BTC for FTC and vice versa.
Any extra ways to trade it is a benefit not a hindrance.

When people no longer want BTC because it’s too hard to mine, FTC -> BTC -> LTC and LTC -> BTC -> FTC WILL be a hindrance.

BTC is holding back the cryptocoin community with their lack of innovation (and i mean the users).
