They never had a developer to back it, I feel bad for their community. It was small, but there were good people trying to do something with it.

My only worry is others looking at ftc comparing. I don’t see anyone thinking to put ftc off but some will compare it. The news of pwc going out and now cnc being delisted. Of course they had a good 250 to 300 MH rate it’s droppng.

Not to be mean, but then that gives another set of MH to point to another coin.

Trust me guys we are still in the network growth stage. This year LTC started at less than a GH/s. Now currently over 20.

            FTC can grow too.

Chinacoin was developed in a very passive way. Their web site is still a stub with links pointing to “SoruceForge”. Fortunately or not, their demise was only a matter of time.

Just sayin that originally that BTCE news post contained FTC, PPC, TRC as well.

maybe they just want to delete them one by one instead of the 4 at once and cause chaos and selling frenzy.

FTC is the 3rd selling currency by volume on BTC-e after BTC and LTC. It makes them good profits. Although FTC has also brought them a lot of security headache recently during those 51% attacks.

That’s okay, but they can still remove it from the exhange.

I guess this announcement was prepared quite a few weeks ago when all these currencies demonstrated very weak trading. By the way, NVC is also very weak now, but they’re not going to delist it because of some special relationships between Balthazar and BTC-e owners.

At the moment FTC lacks buy support so it’s not popular among traders. The price won’t go up because a lot of coins are produced everyday and there isn’t enough out there to do with them yet. The price is being suppressed by a bot at the moment and every time there is a hint of a rally the Trollbox explodes with all the usual FUD about Clone Coin and Ponzi Scheme.

The work that needs to be done is to get more exclusive items on the market place, sell things people want and are hard to get hold of exclusively for FTC. Sex toys is a great idea! Bitcoin and Litecoin have drugs and 3D guns, Feathercoin has Dildos! It’s a great niche. Anonymous currency works perfectly for it.

Also we need to make our Unique Selling point a bit clearer, we need to get to the heart of why we exist and bring clarity to that message. Ruthie and I are going to be attending the London Bitcoin Conference on 2nd July in Canary Wharf and we will be there to get face to face feedback on the messaging.

Any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn’t say so. 700 BTC in buy orders including 500 BTC down to 0.00070. LTC has grabbed most of the attention, even BTC is a bit down.
