      People prepay for phone service. Imagine if they used Feathercoin to pay for gas ahead of time, based on what they expect to actually use monthly. It would allow gas stations to ignore volatility in the fuel market.

        That’s brilliant. Customers too! I could lock in my cheap fuel price 6 months ahead of summer for the year, and I’d get a discount for buying in bulk.

                    True. The contract sizes are rather large. The amount of money need to pull this off would be huge though. Essentially a transfer agent or brokerage would need to be established.

                      An options system is something that a competing coin is currently developing. It’ll be interesting to see how they approach it.
