Hi FTCers,

I’ve started using an Aussie exchange called Coinjar to buy BTC (they’ll soon be adding NZD I believe). This allows for straight out trading AUD/BTC, and their interface is clean and the exchange rate reasonable. But they only offer BTC at this stage, and I know you guys would like to be able to buy FTC using AUD (and NZD too!)

I wrote them a nice post via their contact page (go to coinjar.io and click “Contact”) which I’ve posted below. Why don’t you guys write to them too to encourage them to trade in FTC.

peace; sol
Hi Coinjar,
I’ve recently begun using your service to buy into crypto-currencies. I like your interface and find it relatively easy to use. But I’m not really interested in buying bitcoin so much. I’ve been buying feathercoin, which is a new alt-coin with strong community backing which is growing rapidly in terms of market-cap and hashing power. The value of FTC has basically doubled over the past month (as measured in AUD). But I can’t buy FTC with AUD.
Right now I’m buying BTC on Coinjar, then posting that across to BTC-e to buy feathercoin. You guys miss out on the transaction fee on that one. That goes to BTC-e.
I’m happy to support an Aussie company that offers an alt-coin trade exchange service with an easy-to-use interface and reasonable transaction fee. But I want to be able to buy the major alt-coin of my choice. If another exchange allows me to buy FTC using AUD (and vice versa), then of course I’m going to move to their service.
Do you have any plans to add other major alt-coins to Coinjar in the foreseeable future?

I really like the swarms idea but a good base would still be to CENTRALIZE such questions for supporting help in an own sub-category

Or, who is looking through the forum continuously for jobs for the swarms?

Unnecessary imo, make a sub-category called SWARMS SUPPORT, quick n clean solution

I didn’t think you called them Kiwis when you actually wanted them to do something, but what do I know. LOL

Other than that some of the best lamb in the world comes from NZ IMO… Mmmmmmmm. Can I get that for FTC? hehe

Got a reply from Coinjar:
Thanks for the feedback. We’re keen on expanding to other
crypto-currencies – our feature set is heavily dependant on the feedback
we receive. Right now we’ve had most requests for Litecoin integration so
that’s most probably going to be our first addition.

We’ve had a few other requests for FTC, we’ll have to look into this soon!

Cheers,
So it seems that feedback to these businesses does make a difference after all. So anyone out there who does want to convert AUD or NZD straight to FTC, you might want to follow this up.
