Hi guys! I have been lurking and mining a little for ages (well maybe a month or 2) now but hoping to expand soon so I’m sure I will have a few silly questions along the way.
I never know what to say in these type of posts! Lets see how many graphics cards I can fry!! woo :)

You’ll have a hard time beating Svennand in the frying stakes. How many is it now? 3 Mobo’s? lol

        Welcome on board. :)

Yea i saw a few posts about the boards frying, I’m only running the little baby 5870’s so I’m hoping not too much power will be drawn!

5870 should not be a problem with four of them on one board, but if you thinking about clocking them DO consider active extenders!=P
And 5 cards, hell no! ;D

4 is the plan :) I just need to purchase a decent PSU and build some kind of stand/case and get everything going, Is the seasonic 1250 overkill for my rig?

Seasonic 1250 is in my opinion a really good investment. PLENTY of overhead and a nice thing to repurpose later.

the 5870 use around 200w each (during mining load) so around 1000w including system.

Seasonic x1250 is NEVER overkill if your running 4 cards.

Note that the XFX 1250w Black is also the same PSU. Don’t tell everyone though! ;)
