I just installed a second Radeon 7850 and setup crossfire and GUI Miner Scrypt isn’t opening anymore. It seems to be the only program on my computer that won’t open. I’ve tried deleting everything having to do with GUI Miner in my registry and then redownloading it but it doesn’t seem to fix it. When I double click on it there’s the spinning blue circle for 5-10 seconds and then it stops and nothing else happens. It briefly shows up in the show hidden icons bar until I try to click on it and then it disappears. What could be causing this? How can I fix it?

Do the following:

Click guiminer in the task bar or in the show hidden icon bar, hit ALT+SPACE then M. That will get it ready to move. Then use your arrow keys to move it, now if you move your mouse around you will see guiminer appearing.

To clarify - Sheepson is saying that GUIminer may be open and working, but just hidden off your screen. This is a common problem with the program.

If that doesn’t work, re-download GUIminer after deleting this folder: [d2 says:] Don’t do this! See my reply posted below.

I have the same problem as initialy described ^^
Strange is it was working without problemes for several months and suddenly now I can’t launch it.

Instead of fixing it I will try raw cgminer.

CGminer is a far superior option, and not that hard to setup. You can get 625-650KH/s on a 7950 or 725-750KH/s on a 7970 easily, just look around on here for some settings. If you still have problems plenty of us here will help you fix them :)
