        Nice find Corather

Gonna give it a whirl and will start a thread with my findings!

I could save over 1Kw with this!

          :)

If I get psyched out enough I’ll do it to my rig. It’ll save a good 150 watts at least and let me really push my cards.

Just an update and a bump. I tried it, and it WORKS! At least it does with my twin frozr 7950’s. I followed cryptobadger’s guide to the letter and everything worked smoothly.

It’s about a 50 watt per card savings on those 7950’s. The screeny reads about 500 watt pull. It went down from just under 600. The core is slightly over clocked but I didn’t touch the ram. I don’t like to OC but if I do, I usually only OC the processor as it’s easier to cool with just a good thermal compound under the heat sink.

edit: Actually for real numbers I just realized. Each card under this config core voltage 1.084, core clock 1050, ram clock 1250 (stock), each card pulls about 200 watts and produces 620-630 kh/s give or take.
