I was just checking out the timeline created by Pyxis and it struck me that Feathercoin will be 6 months old on the 16th October - just 12 days from now.

      As the father of a one-year-old boy, I have a clear recollection of what a big milestone 6 months is (my boy started crawling about that time) and also how fragile a six month old is. Yet our six month old baby coin has shown itself to be remarkably resilient having weathered a couple of bouts of flu (aka 51% attacks) and grown rather quickly.

      I’m thinking of writing a short article to honour the occasion, and thought I’d put the question out there:
      What are some of the milestones that YOU think Feathercoin has reached in the past 6 months?

      To get the ball rolling, I uncovered a couple (accidentally I admit) myself.

The market cap of FTC passed through US$2,000,000 - albeit briefly - in October 2013. It is the 5th ranked crypto currency by market cap.

When it comes to relative mining revenue per hour as measured in BTC, FTC ranks third with 4.128BTC per hour (according to the Coinchoose “Additional Charts”).
Given some of the challenges that the Feathercoin community have faced - or perhaps in spite of them - this coin has shown itself to be a resilient little bugger. Whaddaya reckon?

        I reckon I like this a lot and we should make a blog and let you be our first special guest blogger. I can even get you someone who could do some artwork for it.

          Ok, so here’s my shot at a short article to introduce those not familiar with Feathercoin to the coin on the occasion of its “six month birthday”. Even for those who are familiar with Feathercoin may find the “Why Feathercoin?” section interesting because, for those who are involved with FTC on a daily or weekly kind way, the past few weeks have been a bumpy ride to say the least, and I’ve tried to put that into perspective to some extent.

          http://theirondinosaur.wordpress.com/2013/10/10/feathercoin-the-little-crypto-coin-that-could-turns-six-months-old/

          I’m happy to make amendments or additions if anyone has any suggestions. For those who are responsible for Feathercoin communications: I’m happy for this article to be reproduced in whole or parts for the purpose of informing others.

          peace;
