I’m a FTC user. I was using the p2pool but the hashrate is pretty low. I think the difficulty is going down as well. Does this mean FTC is becoming less popular?

      Take care, Meister

        Hi meister!
You should jump over to one of the big mining pools like ftc.nut2pools.com.
About the difficulty, you are right, the difficulty is dropping at the moment and also is the hashpower. The difficulty is moving with the price, if the price jumps up, more miners come in and wanna have a piece of the cake, so the difficulty goes up. Right now the bitcoin movement is so strong that all alts are dropping slightly, thats why the difficulty dropps. -> That doesnt mean Feathercoin is less popular :)

Alright, thanks for explaining and nice to meet you 8) Luckily thanks to the current difficulty I could experiment with things that are harder to do with Bitcoin. Like trying round-robin mining, it is easier to see the effect it has.

I’m an avid Linux user so I have played with feathercoind and its RPC commands a lot. Very interesting.

I did notice that every now and then, some client connects and it seems it keeps asking for the same blocks. Is that due to the chain fork?

            It’s not my client though.

It looks like some of the clients connect, ask for blocks with certain numbers and after a certain point they re-ask those same blocks. But I might be mistaking.

However, d2, if you have the chance could you look at the issue I described here?
