You can either buy bitcoins and trade them for Feathercoins at btc-e.com or mcxnow.com or you can buy them directly for usd at coinmkt.com or vircurex.com but I would suggest you to go the BTC->FTC way cause of the low volume at the USD exchanges.

How long the the initial wallet sync take? It been over an hour?
Once it has synced the first time - each time thereafter is it much quicker?

It can take an hour, even if that sounds a bit long to me
and
all subsequent syncs will be faster, as only the missing blocks will be loaded :) -
There’s a “Local Feathercoins” link under the “Tools” menu at the top of this page. Add yourself to the map and then look for people nearby. Depending on where you live there may or may not be many Feathercoin users nearby.

hey guys… don’t want to hijack the thread but can you suggest where is the best place to buy let’s say a 4 digit $ of FTC? looks like the volume is kind of thin everywhere.
