      Twas the night before Christmas
      And all through the house
      Not a creature was stirring
      Not even a mouse
The wallets were installed on the computer with care
In hopes that gifts of Feathercoin soon would be there ;D

Just an image I put together on GIMP…but now that you mention it that would be a cool ornament to make for real.

I agree I suppose might be difficult sticking a flat image onto a sphere. But you could look for flat Versions to use. :)

A sphere with the Feathercoin logo indented could be done. Laser etching onto a sphere is another thought.

Actually I just threw the image up as an afterthought, my main reason for the post was to see if anyone else had the same idea I had, to give away FTC as gifts this year, especially to people who aren’t yet in cryptocurrencies. Print out a gift certificate to put in their stocking, or send an email, “Good for 250 Feathercoins” (or 100, or 1000, or whatever) and they would need to install a client or otherwise get set up with a wallet address to receive them.

actually that is a really good idea.

I guess you would have to choose specifically who to give them to as the reaction would range anywhere from not knowing what to do with them to generally thinking bad things about the giver.
Maybe open/technically minded people who may have an interest for the underlying story may be a good start.

Yeah good point. I was thinking of it along the same lines as giving someone a 1 ounce silver round, they would understand it has value and could either keep it for the long term or cash it in. Or today, many people have heard of Bitcoin and would welcome a gift of BTC. Few people have heard of FTC and may not understand that 250 FTC is worth $20-25 right now, and potentially much more if they hold on to it. Also I’d be concerned about the gift being taken the wrong way and they’d think we’re trying to drag them into Amway or something like that.
