Will an AMD 7950 pay for itself?

Hi all,
Thinking about starting some small scale mining, just wondering how quickly you would make back the cost of an AMD 7950…

or is it worth just buying feathercoins with the ~$300?

It depend on your powercost, if you’re mining for free I would suggest you to buy an AMD 7950 cause it will be pay itself back in 2 months.

Based on your HW and power cost it give you an estimate about the time the HW is re-payed based on current difficulty

It depends on these 3 variables:

[*]Value of the currency you are mining (this can go up or down).
[*]Energy cost (I pay about 10 cents a Kwh).

I’ve been mining with 4 GPU rigs like the one featured on [url=http://www.coinminingrigs.com]http://www.coinminingrigs.com[/url] since April and my rig (everything, not just the card) made ROI in about 5 months of mining. Now it warms my house (late fall here in the northern hemisphere), pays my electric bill generates about $300+ per month per rig on top. Not bad.
