For pop/celtic stuff, you really can’t go wrong with the Afro-Celt Sound System. Just about everything they put out is pretty fantastic.

Afro Celt Sound System - Persistence of Memory

For dubstep sickness: Nero, Krewella, Modestep, Gemini, Rusko, Flux Pavillion.

Modestep will blow your frickin mind every time:

Modestep - Sunlight (Official Video)

I saw Krewella at the Exchange in LA, they were off the hook.

Krewella - Get Wet (Full Album)

Gemini is a frickin hero.

Gemini - Graduation (Official Video)

And Flux Pavillion makes dirty look fun:

Flux Pavilion Mega Mix

For something slightly different, there’s Draper, who does something called Liquidstep, which borrows it’s influences from dubstep, but mixes in more pop sounds. He’s AMAZING:

Ellie Goulding - Hanging On (Draper Remix) [Official]

Strange Talk - Eskimo Boy (Draper Remix) [OFFICIAL]

And or something REALLY different, there’s IDM artist Mux Mool. He’ll blow your mind every time with some of his stuff.

mux mool - get better john

For the Celtic stuff:

Clannad: Ancient Forest
Enya: Deireadh An Tuath

Also good “classical” walking music, though not celtic
Sunwheel Orchestra: Conquest of Paradise
Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack

and a cheesy 80’s synth classic
Europe: The Final Countdown

If I could recommend one song it would be this

“Kung Fu Piano: Cello Ascends” by ThePianoGuys
http://youtu.be/NCaH-qqTWpk

I suppose you could say it has elements of Celtic, Oriental, Orchestral / classical. It’s a slow but powerful track.

I’m going to go all pagan, germanic, celtic… call it what you want.

Malukah offer most of her covers free here: www.malukah.com

This is but one…

Age of Oppression - Skyrim Cover (Malukah)

Again from Skyrim, one of my fave covers:

Skyrim - Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollens

Linked from the last artist… going a bit MJ and Thriller with a celtic sound:

Moon Trance - Lindsey Stirling (Original Song)

and one more from her:

Elements - Lindsey Stirling (Dubstep Violin Original Song)

and finally from one of my fave composers Bear McCreary and a great TV series Battlestar Galactica with perhaps a more Gaelic sound:

18- Reuniting the Fleet
