Downloaded my wallet today. Its brand new.I have no coins yet.
It has been saying out of sync all day.
I deleted it and re downloaded it. That didnt help.
I stopped it and restarted it. Did not help either.
I tried the -rescan option. Didnt help either.
What to do now? Can anyone help?

It might take a day or to until it syncs. Does it have the green bar at the bottom where it is trying to sync or is it just doing nothing? Did you go into “receive coins” and add an address?

It is not green but red.
It says no connection to the feather coin network.
And i have an address to receive coins yes.

i downloaded a wallet on my samsung android tablet now.
That seems to be syncing quite rapidly.
My laptop might be the problem.
I can work from a tablet in the same way right?

Make sure you don’t have a firewall or some kind of anti virus software preventing the program from working.

From user point of view, the android wallet has full functionality, and you can do whatever you can do with the desktop version.

Nevertheless the android version does not download the full blockchain as the desktop version does.

It turned out lately, that the first time sync can take a while, and even hangs sometimes. If that happens, a restart of the feathercoin-qt helps.

I have tried everything. But i cannot get it to work on my laptop.
Disabled firewall, antivirus. I am not on wireless anymore, did -rescan,restarted ,deleted and re downloaded multiple times.
                  Anything i have missed?

can you paste the output or a screenshot of

                    • help-> about feathercoin
                    • the last lines of the log file from help->debug->debug-log

this would help to determine what is goin on.

                    and…

I assume you are on a windows PC? ;)

                      I fixed it!
The problem was that i did -rescan instead of - rescan.
                      Tunnel vision i suppose.
Thanks everyone for helping the idiot!
