Hi there, im currently experimenting with feather coins, so far it may look promising. right now I’m playing with solo mining. I’m running cgminer for solo mining. I’ve found a few blocks but i don’t appear to be getting paid for it. cgminer is telling me “found block for pool 0!” but i wait maybe an hour or so but i don’t get any coins in my wallet. Am i doing something wrong, or does it take longer than a few hours to confirm?
I have the client running with -server, i have the ip set correctly, and i have the rpcuser/pass set correctly, but it doesnt seem to be paying.

I tried posting this in the mining section, but it wouldn’t let me post. Any help would be appreciated.

        Question, whats your hash output?

Because at the current difficulty running 4 X 7950’s GPU’s (no overclocking) you would expect to find a single block after 4 days (if your lucky).

What your probably getting are stales, I’ve not used cgminer for solo mining only GUIMiner but thats what it is sounding like to me.

Some solo guides here (and yeah its great fun solo mining)

If the difficulty is currently too high, I cease solo mining over 40 difficulty using 2.7Ghash, try it out on a low diff coin like grandcoin.
        Have Fun

I have about 250kh/s (I have a second graphics card lying around i could add to add 200ishkh/s). What i was noticing was i was getting a block on average about every 45 seconds. Is there a way to counteract the stales?

          i’ll lookup grandcoin, thanks.

Your low hash rate is the problem, you would need 10 times your hash rate to have a chance of getting a single block in 4 days, that is the only way the counteract the stales, it would be better for you to pool mine, I pool mine and my rig hashs along at 2700Kh/s.

But if you want to try solo for the fun of it, test it on a coin like grandcoin that has low diff.

There isn’t enough information given to answer your question. Mining is highly technical, you need to keep going through the guides and build up your knowledge. I would also advise connection to a pool (e.g. p2pool), it is easier, secures the network, more payouts and the graphs and statistics are superb, you can check your rig from a phone…

Otherwise in CGminer press p, and post back the pool information displayed (for 0), as a start.

Also, we need to move the thread to support, so others can learn from the investigation of you problem

here is what i am seeing. it says i have found several blocks in a few seconds along with the pool settings. I’m not sure why my kh/s is so low. normally it’s around 250.
