If you like a coin, don’t join “the team” if you have baggage. That baggage comes back on the coin in the long run and then the coin is associated with your baggage.

Ok, I’ll bite. Who’s got the baggage and what happened?

It’s more of a commentary on me and why I never wanted to have any official capacity with teh feather. Certain people should not be the spokesperson (or have any official title) with a coin because it can reflect poorly on the coin. Why bring duress upon the coin and it’s userbase? This is what I see happening with Quark currently. An individual, who apparently has some positives to contribute, has taken it upon himself to play a role he should not be playing under an “official” capacity. In doing so he is hurting everyone’s investment, no matter how well-intentioned his actions.

Why bring this up here? Because, from what I’ve seen happen recently, if I had brought this up on the Quark forum I would be banned (allegedly).

I relate. There’s been more than a few times with staff requests here where I go “huh, well, I can do that” but after a little thought I follow up with these two thoughts:

              1. I always wind up with less than the amount of time than should be, and what is expected to be, dedicated to that role/position/project.

              2. I am a /b/ post away from people going “yup, I know who that is” and charging head first into anywhere I spend time at with humiliating me and destroying anything I touch being their goal.

I will not be intimidated, and I won’t make decisions based on it, but by that same token I feel it’s more beneficial if I keep my roles as background or non-community as possible.

There’s always somewhere to help out - even in limited abilities or time-frames. Whatever your background, whatever your /b/ or reddit history. Initative is good - for the most part. Anyway, I’ll let Andie handle it:

“The streets are supposed to be about different people coming together… We call this a battle but what are we fighting for? We’re all here because we have this thing we do, we dance… Being part of the street used to mean much more than just turf or power… It’s about bringing something new to the floor… and it shouldn’t matter what we wear, what school or what neighborhood were from because the best part of the streets is not about what you got, it’s what you make of what you’ve got! So if the 410’s too scared to defend their title against us, hell, well be doing our thing outside where the streets started!”
