Have setup 2 rigs that run pretty good, but there is always room for more and this is what.

      Exactly same setup.

      2 X R9 290 ( same make and model ).
      850 W PSU
      16 GB RAM

Only thing different is that one rig has an old Asus PK5 Motherboard and the other rig has a New ASUS Saberttoth Motherboard.

Same software setup and same configuration of CG miner.

The rig with the old mob is mining at 900 x 2 steady with WU at 1690 - 1710 k hash.

The other rig is going at 850 x 2 steady with WU at 1590 - 1610 k hash.

On both rigs power is higher in one card than the other, 1.170 and second gpu close to 1.050.

Temp is sub 80 on both rigs.

      A motherboard issue ?

Not a big issue but would be great to get that extra 80 90 k hash out of the rig.

I have the same issue but I am not too concerned about it. The motherboard should not be a problem as mine was brand new…It could just be the way the thermal paste was applied during manufacturing…
