Got the rig up and running last night, hash rates aren’t quite what I want yet, but everything is a go and we are mining FTC! However, my system is going to sleep after an undetermined amount of time once I walk away. Is there a simple setting somewhere that I need to disable so everything keeps churning away when I am not actually at the computer?

      Corsair 4GB XMS3 ram stick

      (2) MSI Radeon R9 280x GFX cards
      ASRock 970 Extreme4 Mobo
      32GB SanDisk SS driv
      Windows 7 OS

Check out the Energyoptions/Poweroptions in Windows. There you can switch the Powersaving mode off.

        Hope that helps.

Check your Win7 power management settings. The defaults will put the system to sleep after so many minutes of “inactivity”, meaning the mouse and keyboard aren’t being used :)
Just set everything to “never” except the monotor, that should do the trick.

As more people said it’s indeed in the power options setting, if you just select the ‘High performance’ plan your rig won’t go into sleep mode :)

Here is how I do it…

Go to desktop and right click on mouse and pick “personalize”
Then click on “screensaver”, then “change power settings” then “change plan settings”
Tick the “put computer to sleep” box and change the time to “never” then save changes

              Should be good to go!

Thanks everyone- probably been a while since you had to help with such a basic problem on this forum!
I have been editing video on computers for years, but not really tech savvy.

It’s so basic that I actually missed it on one of my builds! No worries and good luck mining!
