I’m moving things up a gear, I secured a small warehouse today, I’m putting together 15 x 6 card rigs, with a view to have a lot more based on the success of this initial experiment.

I would really like to save myself the power and cost by using BAMT with no HDD instead of Windows + HDD.

I’ve heard you can use Windows RDP to communicate with a BAMT headless rig, what about multiple rigs?

What would be a good remote solution? Leave a controller PC with the rigs and Team Viewer onto it?

      Any advice would be appreciated…

Yes you can use RDP to communicate with the headless rigs, but to be honest once the setup is complete there is very little interaction at this level your going to need/want to do. I only use mine for hacking up the cgminer.conf

Everything else you want to do can be done via SSH, and even the editing of cgminer.conf can be done via that as well. Each BAMT installation also comes with it’s own webpage so you can see whats going on.

But I think if your going to have that many rigs running your going to want something a little more designed to control multiple rigs.

When I had my 3 rigs on the same network I setup ANUBIS on a Raspberry PI to monitor and control my rigs, more info can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=57342.0

an alternative is to run windows 7 of a USB-stick (don’t buy one that’s to slow, USB 3.0 with highers speeds preferred!).
Then you can run cgwatcher on each separate rig to get a good level of error handling and ease of usage, then you hook them all up to a cgremote-machine and can control them all from that in a very easy gui :)

That’s how I would have done it anyways :)

Are you getting the R9 280X’s?
We’ve exhausted all our supply of the specific card here in my place.
Only the 270s and 290s remaining.

Yeah, I’ve ordered the 6 GPU rigs from Open Rigs and I think I’ll just squeeze in 6 with a 1500w PSU…
