I have to do some final work on the new front of site, there is a nice stats info on the front page but right now it is static! Pages need to be in the same place as they were before which they are currently not. There are a few other things that need attention.
The last thing to move will be the forum as this requires that this site be offline for the move. During this move I intend to get the language forums back which were somewhat scrambled during the last move as foreign chars were not preserved during the export. This was not realised until too much time had passed.
By the end of the weekend we should have a modern looking site. Also we get our chatbox back :)

I’m currently moving newletters to the new site. The site is not quite as finished as I though so it may take a little bit longer than expected. ChrisJ is meeting me online today so we can discuss some final details. I’m still hoping to make this live before the end of today but this may slip.

I missed the weekend deadline and am going to put this back a week. This gives me time to create a HTML template of the site for the API, local map and the explorer. We can then launch without any loose ends.
Also I have found typos and truncated content so am going to chase Chris on that.
Apologies for missing the target, I should never have given out a deadline without fully appreciating the amount of work left to do.

The new site is live, Chris convinced me to do a staged launch. Please take a look and report any problems or improvements. I put in a fair bit of work getting it functioning as expected but I’m not a natural content creator. If people want to contribute to the site then please let me know. Now that we have a content management system it is much easier to allow people to create content for the site by using the site. Having a CMS gives us a WYSIWYG editor and remove the web master bottleneck. We should have made this move sometime ago but better late than never :)
