As “wrapper” requested, I’m posting about my issue :

Today morning I goes to upgrade my wallet from 085 to the new feathercoin-setup-0.8.6.1.exe

After uninstall and re-install the new version, when it’s start-up at first time the FSecure antivirus LOCK immediately the application and said it’s a HARMFUL application.

Fortunately my coins are save in wallet papers around the net and this issue no impact my investments, I’ve a little amount in my wallet into the PC, anyway it’s a good idea to fix it asap…

In the deep the FSecure message are not very extended, also in the “Details” the popup message have no nothing new, only the FTC application path. This the popup of the warning.

      Have a nice week end.

Perfect, I think it’s a false positive but the old 085 version of FTC wallet does not present this warning.

The post is to be warning that something into this new version is different and have “bad face” for some antivirus.

Anyway of course if the AV is deactivate, the problem disappear… :- )

We no need tons and tons of bad post into bitcointalk…

        ; )

Bitdefender scanned it clean. Perhaps the file should be submitted to get the false positive removed?

Good, I’ll try to contact FSecure via ticket to remove the false positive and fix it.

I’ll expose the scanned clean also from FSecure and ClamWin

Cheers, for helping us clear that up that false positive virus warning, xonar. It should stop others being affected. Rep ++
