Great news! As long as they don’t do something stupid like whack a big tax on it or licence it! But who would do that? Lol

Here’s another interesting article, on Bitcoin the economy from Physorg.

        The economy of bitcoins

The massive spread of the cryptocurrency or digital currency, Bitcoin, opens up new pathways for researchers to study social action on markets. This reveals interesting feedback between the exchange rates and mentions in social media.

Anyone who strolls around the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, can’t help but notice them â€" the small signs on the doors of shops and cafes “Bitcoins accepted”. Customers pay for their shirt or their cappuccino with their Smartphone instead of with bank notes or credit cards. The digital currency Bitcoin makes all this possible.

The researchers hypothesise that the increase in the value of Bitcoins is markedly accelerated by activities on the Internet, in particular the search for information and interaction in the social media.

To test their hypothesis the researchers examined four different socio-economic parameters: the development of the Bitcoin user base, the price developments of the currency over time, the search for information about Bitcoin on Google and in Wikipedia (more than six million inquiries) and the exchange of information about Bitcoin on Twitter (almost seven million Tweets). In fact, over the past three the researchers established years major correlations between price developments, the number of new Bitcoin users, searches on the Internet and Tweets.

This is another recent Phys.org article I missed first time round. I was wondering who won all the FBI’s Bitcoin. It’s great he seems to be thinking more widely than most.

Venture capitalist wins US bitcoin auction

A California venture capitalist announced Wednesday he won the US government auction of bitcoins, and plans to use them to help emerging economies that are “hamstrung by weak currencies.”

The terms of the winning bid were not announced, but the 29,000 bitcoins seized by the FBI in its investigation of dark Web bazaar Silk Road would be worth some $19 million at current rates.

Draper, a founding partner of the California venture fund DFJ, will work with the bitcoin exchange Vaurum “to provide bitcoin liquidity in emerging markets,” according to a Vaurum statement.

“Bitcoin frees people from trying to operate in a modern market economy with weak currencies,” Draper said in his statement.

“With the help of Vaurum and this newly purchased bitcoin, we expect to be able to create new services that can provide liquidity and confidence to markets that have been hamstrung by weak currencies… We want to enable people to hold and trade bitcoin to secure themselves against weakening currencies.”

They want their slice from you, it’s NOT good news at all, they come to take it from you

The longer they ignore it, the more structure we get setup and the more easily we can tell them to go f*** themselves

I think it’s inevitable, George wants his mates to get in on the action. His mates in the city increased their donations to the party by something silly like 50% over the last few years.

Sorry, that’s not accurate. It’s a total of 50% of the funding for the party comes from the City.

the only inevitable thing about it, is no one will say BOO as usual, hide in their little boxes like scared little children.

Sorry, may sound negative, and yes it is, why I am cutting myself off from society completely, yer all insane…take care people, cause I’m out of your ways of death and destruction, greed and fear, enjoy

I agree, far too much apathy. We are a very compliant nation. Compliance is drummed into us in school and we are rewarded for compliance. World needs more free thinkers who do more than think freely haha.
