Had an e-mail from them informing me that they will be wrapping up due to FinCen ruling on Bitcoin. The say they don’t have the resources to comply with the AML.KYC laws.

      That’s a real shame IMO.

Ahem. Mayhaps someone in another country wants to acquire the site?

Considering there’s no linking to bank accounts and only managing crypto, it would be hard to prove that a customer is a US customer if they’re utilizing the services over a VPN.

Honestly, considering they’re not handling any cash conversion I don’t see why they aren’t exempt from AML.KYC.

Whilst researching something else I cam across this on the coinpaymnets.net site! so maybe all is not lost :D

Update: CoinPayments.net has been sold to a trusted member of the Bitcoin community, Cycloid. His team will be running the site by March 31st and CoinPayments will continue operations without any interruption.

Cycloid had fun back when Feathercoin just started by registering feathercoin.org and loading it with some offensive crap.

oh yeah that guy was annoying. The offensive content if I remember correctly involved old people and nudity.

I wish I did not remember that correctly.
