              hey folks,

I’m also new here… bought an asic… however very interested in GPU mining… maybe when I learn enough. FTC seems to be a great community… I’m hoping to be a part of it.

Also interested in the mathematics of mining… not studied maths for years though… I guess I shall have to lean toward the intuitive aspect… and yes I believe there is one :)

Hope to speak to friends in this community… I also believe we should all be friends :)

              Charly

                  Hello Fearthercoin community!

Feels like cryptocurrency is becomming more and more common… Now that even a noob like myself has started to use it!

I have been scrolling around and have been very pleasantly surprised to discover the beautiful philosophy behind cryptocurrencies: ridding ourselves of corporate dependencies. And I am particularly fond of feathercoin’s emphasis of the importance of community. Great to be a part of it!

                      Hi Everyone,

My name is Derek, I am a filmmaker, based on the Cowley Road, just round the corner from the Oxford Blue and I have a growing interest in the world of digital currency and its applications and potential so I would like to meet up with the Oxford community to get an insight into this world.

                      Thanks

                      Derek

                                Hello everyone!!!

I hope I will be able to reply to some of the topics in the forum. If it was already asked, I also accept the corresponding link ;-).

Neoscrypt mining works fine with respect to PXC. However, using cgminer and for instance p2pool.neoscrypt.de, can I simply exchange the PXC-address with an FTC-address after block 432000?

                                Best regards,

                                cu

                                  Hi Curiosity81,

I’m not familiar with the pool you mention above, but I’m guessing it is a PXC P2Pool mining pool.

You will need to change to a P2Pool that is for FTC, and then use the same setup other than obviously the FTC address and you need to point to the FTC pool.

This link has two FTC P2Pools that are ready to mine FTC after the hardfork and hopefully soon others will add their details of their pools to it too

                                    Hi tmuir12,

thanks for the info. I was aware of this thread but not able to post. It seems to work now. I ask, because p2pool.neoscrypt.de was mentioned by Calem in the neoscrypt testing thread.

We did all the testing of the cgminer on PXC after it had change to Neoscrypt rather than the FTC testnet, that way people would still earn coins when testing.

You need to change the PXC-address with an FTC-address and also the connecting port from 10554 to 19327

in your above example you would connect to p2pool.neoscypt.de:10554 for PXC and to p2pool.neoscrypt.de:19327 for FTC
