MinerX - Mining Tool for Newbies

Hey lovely Feathercoiners,

Iam ChekaZ from the Feathercoin Community. I’ve written a MiningTool for Feathercoin a few weeks ago.

What is it?

MinerX is an automated MiningTool for newbies. Its Java based (Yes you need Java to use it) and its combinated with SGminer

This MiningTool does only support Desktop GPUs, so no mobile GPUs are supported.

The only thing you need to put in is your FeathercoinAddress and if you use an AMD card, the last two digits of your cardname.

Example:

Lets say “Getting Grafik Card Series…” reads out AMD Radeon HD 7900, you need to change the last two digits in “Waiting for Series” to 7970 or 7950 or whatever 7900 card you have.

How to use it:

Download the MinerX from below and execute the .jar.

If you only download the .jar you need to put it next to your SGminer folder which should be named “Neosgminer”.

NOTE: MinerX_Alpha_xx needs to be located in a local HOME folder & next to the “Neosgminer” Folder, otherwise MinerX may not be able to fetch Grafikcard information.

Drivers:

The new MinerX Version 3.1 is running SGminer which is able to execute XIntensity. To run this without any HW-Errors you need to have AMD 14.6 RC2 Drivers installed.

This is so simple to use it’s untrue!

Mining within 2 minutes of the download completing :)

If your new to it all and you just want to test your hardware before you start tweaking things then this is the place to start, it’s just so simple!

Outstanding! I got into FeatherCoin because I typed Crypto Currency Mining into Google and there was a FeatherCoin tutorial using GUIMiner near the top of the list.

Work like this really helps to promote the currency and most importantly help newcomers break through the learning curve…

I’ll have to test this out at some stage. This could ultimately be bundled into the Qt as an optional module.

MinerX got updated to Version 3.1!

Whats new?

Cgminer got replaced with Sgminer - Hashrate drasticly improved!

Some minor updates on the Specc configs.

In order to run everything smooth with 3.1 I suggest to install AMD 14.6 RC2 Drivers. Otherwise R9 280 - R9 290x may give you HW errors.

I cant seem to get it to work with my 7950’s. When I enter 7950 into the program it doesnt like it but if I enter 7990 then it mines fine. Maybe an error with the 7950 config?

EDIT: the error is about the -rI config option. It says its an unrecognized option.
