Just saw this over on the pool I use WeMineFTC.com…

Attention all miners! Due to the continuing falling prices and interest in FTC we regret to inform you we will be shutting down our FTC pool on 2/26/15.

Unfortunately we are not receiving anywhere near enough in donations to cover server and operating costs. We have been running at a loss for a while now using our own funds to cover the costs but we can not sustain this further.

All users must withdraw their coins by 2/26/2015. Any coins left on the server will be considered a donation and will be used to pay final server costs.

Please consider switching to mine with our LTC pool at WemineLTC.com

      Can’t blame them, but ouch…

I always liked that pool but I see their point.

I hope other pools can remain open, if not P2Pool may be all we have. (what I currently use anyway)

          P2Pool Node: http://104.236.34.9:19327/ 0.5% fee

All are always predictable. No enough money for mines , Must choice a new way.

It isn’t time to bail is it?

On the mining market? I’d like to see an argument for why we should continue when we know how the game ends, especially when there’s better ways to ensure the longevity of the coin. The move to NeoScrypt signaled the death rattle. It was a move made in desperation as a completely misguided attempt at remaining relevant in a rapidly changing and evolving market. The only winning move in this game is not to play, which is what we’re discussing on Slack right now, and how to win at a different game.
