The stuff I love a lot is trollbox. Unfortunately Dave hidden it to icon only thus effectively killing it. I can not came up with any sane reason why he did it.
trollbox = shoutbox, right? ;)
Dave is working on the final design of the pages, and we will find a way to make the shoutbox easier to find and use

it was on the bottom of all pages and useless on longer pages, as it wasn’t easily reachable.
I’d prefer a flow out/flow in like it’s done on http://cryptsy.com

@Wellenreiter the fact it was on main site is superior to those concerns. Any hidden shoutbox automatically castrate its potential. Even Cryptsy shoutbox is the same case.

It was not perfect. Chasing the shoutbox down enlessly scrolling pages is unacceptable. I hope to find a better solution soon.

@MrWyrm main page is not scrolling and its the place where people usually use trollbox

@mirrax, you are not telling me anything I don’t know. The shoutbox is unfortunately designed to be global. I’ll have to edit the home template file to put the shoutbox on a single page, that’s doable when I get chance, but I hope we can create a more elegant solution.
The perfect solution is a global bootstrap button for a popover with the shoutbox. Please just be patient.

Once the shoutbox is up, the user either can hide it again or collapse it -

I like the new layout, thanks for making this! On the old platform, I was never able to register for some reason. The new platform im finally able to be apart of the forum!

Thanks for the kind words @aciddude and @ftchold.
There’s some great features we can use to really help the community organise. One of my favourites, is the groups, I’ve created a test group here so you can get a feel for the group system. I’m hoping that community projects can have their own group and their own moderated forums either public or private (or maybe both of them), to help announce and organise. I’ve created a some community subforums here.

One concern, is I can not find a way to quote users posts? Only mentioning?
Is this a feature hidden, or am I just blind lol -
In the top line, specifying the poster’s name there is a reply and a quote link for me…

@MrWyrm what does it take to be apart of those groups? How do you create one (I am sure there are requirements) -
There are two things we could do, open it up so anyone can create a group (like facebook), or we could create groups on request.
If you would like to help me test the feature, I’ll gladly create more test groups and invite you in.

I opt for the second procedure. Let’s open new groups upon request.
btw. what is the purpose of a group? Are there private group threads, so the group can post and only group members can read?
